I believe that one of the things needed in the world as it is, is the capacity to be with difficulty, with difference, and with tension. I believe that with practice, we can each increase our capacity to be with these things. This can allow us to be in dialogue, to understand each other, to connect, and ultimately to find a way forward that works for all. This is one of the reasons I do the work I do, to increase the chance that we can be present with one another, even in the hard times.
My Commitments & Feedback
There are a few things that I am commited to in offering the work I do, and they are aspects I especially invite feedback on. If you have feedback on whether / how I have or have not stuck to these commitments from your point of view, please get in touch. Your input is very important to me, and I encourage you to be as honest as possible. I have support to receive even the hardest of feedback.
I'm committing to...
... following your lead
It's your process and I'm here to support it. I may check if you want input or suggestions, but I hold these as offers, rather than directives.
In facilitation & space holding I strive to meet the needs of the group and the individuals within the group as best as I can.

... keeping my work (financially) accessible
... showing up as best-resourced as I can
It takes work to show up well, and I commit to putting in that work.

... staying within everyone's boundaries (mine included)
The cultural context I'm embedded in has a strong pull towards crossing boundaries - in big and small ways. Those of others, and our own. I continually strive to break out of that internalised pattern.

... practicing what I preach
This ties in with showing up as best-resourced as I can. I strive for my actions to be aligned with my words - especially in teaching situations.

... keep learning & growing
This not only means learning from external sources such as courses or books, but also through reflection alone or with others.

... staying humble
Acknowledging that I don't know and am not aware of everything. That others have their own sources of wisdom and knowing that I may not share.
