Privacy Policy
Introduction
I’ll keep it simple: I, Jana Light of Facilitating Light – the sole person behind this business - do not collect any data from you beyond the ones you freely and knowingly (no hidden trackers!). I do not pass data on except if you give me consent to do so. The data I collect is so that I may provide the best possible service to you, including e.g. knowing how to address you and tailoring offers to your needs). Some data I store for legal reasons such as invoicing (address being one common type for this).
Data storage
I store your data either on NextCloud (on a German server), on my laptop, or in handwritten notes.
Your data may also be stored on other applications you interact with, such as TicketTailor, systeme.io, and smartsurvey – please consider their privacy policies for more information on that.
If you register for my newsletter, that information is stored on on the platform you used to sign up for it (Weebly for website sign ups) and on riseup.net, where the actual mailinglist is kept.
I store data for as long as I need it, and definitely no more than 6 months after we’ve concluded our business, unless otherwise specified.
There are two exceptions to this. One exception is emails and text messages via messenger apps, will likely stay in my inbox for up to 5 years. The other exception is storing data as required per Dutch law – for example invoices must be kept for 7 years.
The storing of data past the immediate conclusion of our business is in case we cross paths again in that timeframe, in which case it may be useful again, or for cases of legitimate interest, for example if you inquired about a service I was not offering at the time, but am now.
I may take handwritten notes during meetings or coaching sessions, those are kept in my office for up to a year after we’ve concluded our business, also in case we resume working together.
You can at any point contact me to request deletion of your data, or to re-negotiate aspects of this policy as it relates to you.
